CBS Sports Announces Jenny Dell As New NFL Sideline Reporter

- June 11, 2014 |

IF client Jenny Dell has been named one of three new sideline reporters for CBS’s coverage of the NFL. Although Dell spent the past two years immersed in baseball as a sideline reporter for the Boston Red Sox, she is certainly no stranger to football. With both parents avid New York Giants fans, Dell was born into the sacred culture that is American football.

“Football has always been my number one love since I was a kid growing up watching games with my dad so it really is a dream come true. I’ve loved every second of the last two years covering the Red Sox and focusing on baseball but I’m really looking forward to getting back to my roots and being able to work for CBS and cover the NFL. It’s just unbelievable”.

Although she rebelled against her parents’ loyalty to the Giants in favor of the New England Patriots, Dell knows she has to leave her love for the team at home on game nights.

“If you’re a sports fan, you are going to have the teams that you connect with and you’re passionate about and you love the most, but I fully understand in this job that you have to be unbiased”.

Dell dabbled in the football industry as a production assistant for ESPN’s Monday Night Football, an experience she credits with teaching her the ins and outs of what takes place both on and off the field. Now, Dell is going to be on the other side of the camera, an opportunity that she is extremely looking forward to.

“With any sport that you cover and any team you cover, what draws you in are the story-lines and the players of those teams, so I’m looking forward to getting to know all of those throughout the league and being able to focus in on the NFL in general. I think there’s something special to say about being able to go in each and every week to a different team, to a different game, and find out what the big happenings are going on with their organization”.
